The Clinton Fire Department Health & Safety Program shall be established and shall serve in an advisory capacity to the Fire Chief.
The Committee shall include designated Fire Department Safety Officer, Chief Officer, and one Firefighter acting as the Assistant Safety Officer. Although the Committee is comprised of the above personnel all members are encouraged to participate and attend any and all regular and annual meetings.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The purpose of the Committee shall be to conduct research, develop recommendations, study and review matters pertaining to occupational Health & Safety within the Fire Department.
The Clinton Fire Department Health & Safety Committee shall hold meetings once every three months, special meetings shall be held when necessary. Written minutes of each meeting shall be obtained and shall be made available to all members.
It is the Role and Responsibility of the Safety Committee to over see the Department
Meeting Requirements:
a) Quarterly Meetings
b) Special Meetings when necessary
c) Written Minutes
OCCUPATIONAL RECORDS
Establish a data collection system and maintain permanent records of all the following that are or might be job related:
a) Accidents
b) Illnesses
c) Deaths
d) Occupational exposure
TRAINING RECORDS
Training records shall include the following:
a) Dates
b) Subjects covered
c) Satisfactory completion
d) Certificates achieved |
